I am originally from Nottingham, where I studied art at college, although I am self taught in the art of silk painting.  I live in the beautiful countryside of Sussex where I get a lot of my inspiration. I predominently paint on silk as I love the translucent texture which illuminates and projects colour and lends itself perfectly to my designs.  I also incorporate many other materials into my paintings such as pastels, acrylics, metallic paints, pencil crayons, and in some cases, a batik effect, which really brings to life the paintings.

I presently produce and sell my paintings in the Courtyard at  Trading Boundaries (see photos below), Sheffield Green, Nr Fletching, East Sussex TN22 3RB. This is a beautiful shopping complex, selling unique and quality products in the middle of the countryside and set in very pleasant surroundings, with a lovely courtyard, play area for children, and a great restaurant; it is an ideal place for families to come as there is something for everyone, and there are regular events taking place.
